Never in my life have I considered that I would end up on a crazy photography safari adventure in Africa. But today, I am about to do just that. Following Canon Australia & Iconic Images International and led by some of the most experienced and able professional photographers, I’m about to embark on a two week road trip around Namibia, to capture the country, its diverse and mysterious landscapes, wildlife and nomadic people through my lens. It’s my first time visiting the continent of Africa so I have no idea what to expect and prepare for. As a result, I’ve basically packed everything in my wardrobe and photography drawer because I think we’re going to be in for something completely unimaginable and unexpected. I really can’t wait.

Here’s a peek into what I’m taking on my adventure..

I’m really digging the denim, blues and navy shades these days so naturally, my suitcase is packed with them. I added in a few neutrals to the mix as well for those game drives. As we’re going to be on-the-go most days, I’ve tried my best to pack light as I want the photography from this trip to focus heavily on the majestic landscapes of the country. But.. packing light never happens so I have a big suitcase on its way.

Bared’s new sandals are perfect for Africa so I’ve taken a couple of pairs (Robin & Peacock) with me (as well as a pair of boots for hiking up and down the dunes!). Also coming with me is one of Kikki-K’s most recent travel wallets. They finally released one in a dreamy pale green colour and if you know me, you’ll know that I just LOVE green. So this wallet is heaven.

One more new addition for this trip is this crazy cool printed skirt from Gorman. When I saw their very safari inspired collection, I knew I was going to need to take one of these to Africa with me. How fitting! A Chadstone VIP sale locked it in for me so now I’m a proud owner of this printed goodness.

See you guys soon from the other side of the world. It’s going to be a whirlwind trip and one crazy big adventure. I can’t believe it’s happening!
