A few pics from my stay at Hoshino Resorts OMO7 Asahikawa.
This quirky mid-range hotel is located in Asahikawa city, which is a popular base for exploring the summer flower fields and Asahikawa city itself. I stayed in a twin room (the smallest room they have) which was more than enough space for one person.
There is also parking next to the hotel available at 1000Y a night (so cheap compared to Australian standards ahha)
Their lobby is super cute and quirky, with a large communal area, cafe & bar, which is also where the buffet breakfast is served in the mornings. Mmm just look at that breakfast apread!
There is also a popular onsen/spa style floor in the building too which I did not get the chance to check out.
Asahikawa is a great place to stay if you want to be close to Biei, Furano and Hokuryu but also be able to have the facilities and amenities of a city – think local eateries, the famous Asahikawa Ramen, shopping (Uniqlo, Don Quijote, hehe). It’s also close to Asahikawa Airport which I recommend using as access to the area!
OMO7 is the newest hotel sub-brand of Hoshino Resorts, catering for tourists who choose mid-range hotels but want a more personalised experience. There is a real emphasis of community here and uncovering the local culture and hidden gems which sets them apart from similar hotels in the same price range.
