Another one of the hotels I really wanted to check out in Macao was The Venetian Macao. It’s also situated in the Cotai Strip and is famous for its canals inspired by Venice! The Venetian Macao is modelled off its sister resort The Venetian Las Vegas.

To begin with, The Venetian has a stunning exterior. Its intricately designed buildings are filled with amazing detail. Be sure to walk around the outside during the day to really appreciate the work that has gone in to create such a beautiful hotel and destination!

The interior of The Venetian is also just as impressive. High ceilings filled with paintings and artwork make for a beautiful photo opp!

Accomodation:

We stayed in the Premio Bella Suite, with views of the Cotai Strip from the window and a spacious living room & bedroom set up, with a separate full sized bathroom as well.

Canals:

Deep within The Venetian Macao, there are a series of canals inspired by Venice. When I first saw pictures of this, I thought it was indoors! The sky looked so real that I literally thought it was indoors and so had planned to visit at sunset. Turns out, this replica is actually indoors and you can even take a gondola ride in here if you wish!

On the same level of the canals are plenty of food-court style eateries and shops – it’s the perfect place to grab a bite.

If you stay at The Venetian, it’s a great place to base yourself for Taipa Village as its only about 5-10 minutes by foot. It’s also close by to Coloane Village, which is about a 10 minute taxi ride away.
