Lmff Opening
L'Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival (LMFF) started last week with a bang (of fireworks!) & I was lucky to be in the company of the lovely Sam of Pedestrian TV, Estelle of Fashion Journal, Ali of FabSugar, Helen of Sassybella, Amy of DailyAddict; as well as Tracy and Stephen from Nokia Australia to celebrate the launch of the Nokia Lumia 800. We spent the night tweeting on our social media friendly Lumias, enjoying tasty platters & watching the DJs show. My favourite collections were that of Romance of Born (their quirky designs and owl dress were things I would no doubt wear in a millisecond) and Akira - how can you say no to brightly coloured geometric prints? Other highlights included Alannah Hill's reds, Megan Park's sequins and Camilla & Marc's beautiful floral skater dress. Sequins and beaded embellishments have been making repeated appearances on the runway this week and it definitely seems like it will become a big hit this season. And my outfit? I wore a concoction of many colours and layers. My colourful boots have been a common subject of conversation & photography over the last few days of LMFF. I call them my 'painting' boots (to me they resemble a painting) and they are by far my favourite pair of shoes right now :)
