one item three ways

With less than three days left to vote in the ASOS Future Stylist Finals, I'm here to share with you another one of our styling challenges. This challenge revolved around us spending 45 minutes at the infamous ASOS sample sale to select eight pieces to style into three looks. The catch was that one of the items had to be worn in all of the looks - from casual to office - to party. Under the pressure of fellow staff members watching us on, waiting for their turn to visit the sale, we hurried around frantically looking for pieces to use. I couldn't quite find the perfect piece to wear three ways - I had in my mind a pastel blazer but as things always turn out, I couldn't find one. So! I chose this polka dot red blouse instead and this is what I came up with:Day: I was originally going to wear it with a skirt but the skirts I chose didn't quite fit right. So instead, I went with these trousers. I opted to put on a jumper to balance out the heels and keep it comfy/casual. I also felt that the canvas backpack really gave an element of a typical day look and decided to include it as a fun, playful touch. With the belt I had chosen, I decided to have it tucked in under the jumper to give it a more laidback look. Office: For the office look, I decided to pair this blouse with these trousers and lose the jumper. I went with a metallic clutch this time to make it feel more dressed up. For this look, I don't think I would see it in an accountant's office or anything, but I could definitely see it in a fashion office or a creative office. I thought that by choosing a shirt and trousers, but playing with the prints and colours used, it would be suitable for a working environment. Going out: I thought that by adding a pair of superbly sequinned leggings would do well at turning this top into a going out top. These leggings were exciting and eye catching and I guess if I paired it with something just as crazy on top it would be too all over the place. So in a way, the shirt was also versatile for wearing out as well. I chose to use the metallic clutch in this look as it was definitely a party piece over anything not sparkly :)Once again, I would more than love it if you could vote for me today here. The winner will be announced in just under three days, after the competition ends. So it would be absolutely fabulous to have your votes <3
