CURRENTLY LOVING

Welcome! To another edition of what I am currently loving/have in my cart/waiting in the mail for. I wasn't planning to do a post like this for a while, mainly because the last time I did this, I ended up going through the check-out with most of the items I had written about. However, last week, ASOS asked me to guest edit their latest 'How I Wear' feature; a newsletter and online blog feature that documents the top 5 summer sale picks of different people from the world of fashion. And how could I say no to an excuse to convince myself to add new pieces to my wardrobe? :)

Working around this season's leather trend, I was asked to pick five Summer sale items that could complete the look.

One of the best things about shopping online from stores in the Northern hemisphere is the fact that Summer items go on sale, just when you're starting to move into Summer. It's an absolute treat. It's as if the shopping gods have blessed us and made the hemispheres and seasons like this just so we could get the bargains when we want them! So anyway, there's this bag that I've been thinking of adding to my collection of uni bags and it just so happened to be the perfect leather piece to work my edit around. I've also been spying this Sister Jane drop waist dress for a while now and didn't realise how perfect it would look with the bag. I'm pretty much on my way to the check-out with that one {edit: I have officially now purchased it!}. These retro white wedge sandals (which I am waiting for in the mail) are perfect to add to my growing collection of Summer shoes, a range of pastels and a lot of white. I've never been much of a fan of coloured shoes and used to always stick to tan brown. However, ever since the start of this year, all I've been adding to my shoe collection is prints, beiges, pastels, brights and whites. And to accessorise the look, this rainbow cuff is so adorable and the crystal drop earrings are a royal must-have.

While the majority of my duties for the ASOS edit pretty much ended here, my personal curiosity, however, quite obviously did not.  This led me to spending the rest of the weekend scrutinizing my huge ASOS saved items cart and trying to figure out which pieces I was completely in love with and which ones I simply just had a crush on. Needless to say, that didn't go too well. And although it's still pretty much 13 degrees every day in Melbourne, all I've been buying online is Summer clothing. I can't seem to help it since it's all on clearance but a few things I am really looking forward to wearing this Summer are floaty florals, creamy lace, vintage inspired tapestry fabrics, sheer blouses and shirts, crop tops, jacquard and quirky loungewear.

My wish list of bags continues on with a nicely structured leather backpack and a summery straw satchel. In addition to this, as always, I've got my eye on footwear in all sorts of nude. In terms of belts, I can't get over anything with metal accents. And for some reason, I have even found myself longingly staring at pillbox hats; they're just one of those vintage accessories I've never been able to find until now, and I'd love to see them make a comeback!

So I'm sure we all now know why my wallet hates me. We'll speak soon, after I make up with my wallet. You can view my post here & shop my edit here. A little birdy says 'EXTRA10' will get you 10% off sale.. <3 Happy Tuesday everyone!
