Wearing: handmade floral headpieces coming soon to K is for Kani Etsy, To Love Kuvaa crop peplum camisole top, Topshop red ribbed pleated skirt & Gorman Cecilia heels {Photos taken by Nina}There's something mysterious that draws me to vintage frames, worn leather suitcases and wooden stools, and makes them the perfect props to use. So you would imagine how delighted I was when one day, I stumbled across this empty wooden ornate frame. I couldn't help but feel intrigued by this discarded piece - especially its history. Was it a painting, a photograph or other that was framed by it? I can't seem to let things go to waste. But hey, I like to see it as being eco-friendly by saving the environment from that one extra piece of trash. In any case, I'd like to think that I've now given a new life to this frame as a prop for studio photography. It's super fun to use in photobooth-style photos but here, I used it to compose and emphasise the details of what I'm wearing, to create a quirky little outfit post.I've been on the search for the perfect circular hemmed flippy red skirt for a long while now, and I finally found the perfect one at Topshop! The structured material really ensures a long-lasting flare in the hem which adds plenty of volume to your look. Paired with my staple striped top and new favourite casual Gorman mary-janes with a floral crown to top it all off, I'm definitely ready for soaking up the warmer weather!Don't forget to enter my Etsy giveaway which closes this Friday, and as always, have a lovely weekend!for more of K is for Kani: etsy youtube | pinterest facebook twitter | instagram | bloglovin
