melbourne spring fashion week

Just last week was Melbourne Spring Fashion Week and I had the pleasure of attending a couple of the evening designer series shows. I wanted to share with you two of my favourite collections: Christine and Aurelio Costarella.Christine's print frenzy collection was an absolute delight. I'm all for prints, even better, when they clash. The cowgirl like tassel backs, scarf print and quirky conversational patterns were everything that I wanted in my wardrobe. I am an utterly in love with the hugely cat-eyed sunglasses that featured throughout the collection. I need some of these, asap. The Hawaiian inspired colours are just so fresh as well!I unfortunately missed out on Aurelio Costarella's show at MBFWA earlier this year so it was great to have the chance to see it on the catwalk in Melbourne. The pom pom headpieces were the highlight of the show and I just loved the intricate detailing on every piece. Ruffles, lace, lingerie inspired corsets and texture on texture were just beautiful put together. The colours were very royal and especially that citrus green - oh I can't wait to sneak some of this colour into my Summer threads!I hope everyone had a lovely weekend, I myself have been super busy, but will be back with an outfit post in just a couple of days :)for more of K is for Kani: etsy | youtube | pinterest | facebook | twitter | instagram | bloglovin
