It's a pretty uncommon event to walk past a house that's dressed head to toe the same as what you're wearing. On my way to check out some gardens in Melbourne, I drove past a house (actually, it looked more like a castle with its majestic architecture) which was in the exact same colour palette as I was. The exterior walls were painted a sunny yellow, its windows had crisp white borders and its tiles were a surprising checkerboard pattern. With such a chance discovery, it was instantly deemed the perfect location to shoot this look. I picked up this mustard coat in Venice earlier this year to tie me through the warmer (but still cold) days of Italian Winter. It's since been a very versatile (and comfy!) piece for the warmer (but still freezing) days of Melbourne. I just love the simplicity of it. There's basically nothing much going on - no lapels or collars, no hidden buttons. Just two simple square cut pockets and a clean cut. Sometimes it's refreshing to stay away from prints^2 and more prints. It's a different kind of style compared to what I'm used to and I've been more embracing of these simplistic looks every now and then.
