It's a delightful Monday today, not because we are just about to be finished moving into our new place, because I have a day off from uni or because it's finally sunny for once in Melbourne. The most delightful thing* about today is that David Jones' (one of Australia's top department stores) youth campaign #WEARE launches today and I can't be more thrilled and flattered to be one of the blogger partners for the campaign.I'm really excited about the #WEARE campaign, embracing the growing and innovative sector of digital media with shoppable videos, instagram content and blogger content partnerships. #WEARE is all about the amazing youth labels stocked at David Jones and how they can be worked in any of our wardrobes whether we are bold, cute or colourful; dreamers, lovers or stylists. The three bloggers involved, Sara from Harper and Harley, Rochelle from A Fox that Meows and I, have all chosen a hashtag that we feel align with our personalities and will be sharing our product edits and styled looks as part of our involvement. #WEARECREATORS is the hashtag I've chosen and I think it is really harmonious to what I do, both in terms of blogging and my handmade headpieces (speaking of which I moved into my new home studio today!). #WEARECREATORS really expresses my love for styling, creating headpieces, putting together blog posts, doing a simple DIY and so much more. #WEARECREATORS is about creating and expressing your creativity. So it was so much fun to visit the DJs store last week and pick out a few of my favourite pieces from some of my favourite labels including Bec & Bridge, Alice McCall, Shakuhachi, Maurie & Eve and Staple the Label. I've put together a few personal edits of my fave pieces in store at the moment alongside some of the things that inspire the creator in me. I thought it would be very fitting to create a black and white Derby Day inspired floral headpiece to match my Staple striped dress! Stay tuned for more of my style edits soon, I can't wait to show you more.* There's a little feature on my blog in Miss Vogue Issue #1 which hits the shelves today - that's quite delightful as well!
