When it comes to building your wardrobe, those investment pieces you pick out along the way are always the ones that make it through season after season. They're always the ones that are classic in design yet quirky enough to be personal. They're always the ones that are built to last and really do. With the summer holiday season in Australia coming up, I'm teaming up with Farfetch to share with you my tips for getting ready for a stylish summer & what I like to look out for when purchasing an investment piece:1) KEEP IT CLASSICALLY YOU: When you're investing in a new bag / a pair of shoes / sunnies etc, make sure you pick something that you would love to wear personally & not something that you just happen to love at the moment or just happens to be trendy at the moment. For me, these pieces are often not the ones you see everyone owning as an investment piece but rather are pieces I've come across myself and are the ones that I personally always feel comfortable wearing, even when the season is over.2) STICK TO A NEUTRAL PALETTE: I know I'm all about the colour but when it comes to picking out a special piece, I'll try my best to stick to a more neutral colour palette. It doesn't have to be just black, white or camel - think more fun neutrals like navy, blush and dove grey. These are some of my favourite shades at the moment and I still feel like they go with everything I wear without it being too classic. I've never been about the black and white, I'm sure you guys know!3) PICK VERSATILE PIECES: Can that bag take you from day to night? Can this dress take you from day to night? You don't need to go overboard and buy a zillion new pieces. Select ones that are versatile and good quality.
