viceroy bali travel diary
During our time in Ubud, we had the chance to stay in the beautiful luxury villa resort, Viceroy Bali. The Viceroy Bali is situated just minutes from Ubud centre but yet is in one of the most peaceful spots in Ubud. Comprising of 25 luxury private pool villas, the place is private and quiet and feels like a secret hideout from life. When you arrive at Viceroy, you're greeted with frangipani leis (which smells like frangipani heaven! - obviously) and welcome drinks before setting on a little buggy on your way to greet your private villa. Here's a tour of our little home away from home..
Checking into our villa. Here's a peek inside our space. There's a big open plan area with a couch & bed, with a study area and mini bar lining the wall. There's a separate room on the right for your wardrobe too :-) Wearing:ASOS cami & shorts pyjama set
A peek into our bathroom..
Lembah Spa - Viceroy's very own spa treatments centre. The view from the Spa is gorgeous, it's got it's own infinity pond (ha!) and overlooks the forest. We had a spa treatment here which ended in my first ever flower bath. Bliss!
Exploring the grounds of Viceroy. Whilst the focus here is on luxury villas, Viceroy also has some beautiful, serene grounds to wander around as well. It was quite quiet in the public areas of Viceroy throughout the days here (everyone probably loves their villa too much to leave!). Dinner at Cascades Restaurant. The food here is great. We had a European fusion dinner menu accompanied by some interesting drinks including a chilli flaked iced tea which actually ended up being pretty good! One of our fondest memories of Viceroy was just how awesomely hilarious the staff are. They are full of jokes and laughs and make for some entertaining company when at dinner. Right next to the restaurant is the super famous infinity pool. When we were visiting, it just happened to be the week Viceroy was undergoing construction near the pool so sadly I could not take a proper picture of it to show you. The construction is all done now though!
Morning view from our very own bale (also the best place to eat breakfast too). The way they structure the villas here is that no one can really see each other and no one's view is obstructed either. The villas all sit on a hill going downwards so everyone faces the forest on the other side.
The infinity pool next to Cascades restaurant.
Breakfast in bale. Best place to have breakfast at Viceroy. It's à la carte so you order what you want from the menu. We ordered a fruit platter, Mediterranean ratatouille, mezze plate, cold cut plate & mango trifle, finished off with our own juice combos :-)
