For the most part of August, I have been staying in London. We spent three weeks in this busy city, using our apartment as a base to make small trips out every now and then. It's my fourth time in London - probably the most I've ever visited any one place and each time I'm back, I'm reminded of just how much I love this city and how lovely it would be to call it home, even if it's just for a little while. The rhythm of the city here moves fast. There's no room for dawdling when you're catching the tube and expect to see the bus full when you'd least expect to be. It's the hustle and bustle that I love about this city. There's always something new to check out, something old to re-visit and a new shop popping up at every corner. At the same time though, it's those things that we scale back on in Melbourne that make me love coming home.

One of the favourite pieces I packed in my luggage for the trip was this maxi dress from Faithfull the Label. I originally fell in love with the print and was so set on buying it in the mini dress version until I tried on the maxi version which felt a lot more wearable and versatile for both city and seaside escapes.

I've put together my 2017 guide to London - there will be three parts to it and I can't wait to share it with you starting later this week.
