Our New Home: Kitchen Bar

Excited to share that our new rattan style bar stools are here! I've never shopped for bar stools before so was stuck for ideas until I started browsing Pinterest and these stunning rattan style stools came up. The natural brown works seamlessly in with the rest of our decor and the black industrial style legs were a welcoming contrast that I was excited to experiment with. I'm not used to black furniture in our house but a little bit of black proves to be a nice accent colour when mixed in with other textures and shades. I'm actually quite loving it!I've paired these stools back with some lovely rattan / straw baskets and trays - yes more of that rattan stuff!! A hint of natural fibres goes a long way in changing up the decor of an item and I've loved putting these to different uses. These baskets do great as decorative planters though I've also teased the idea of using them as paper recycling bins or soft recycling bins. The larger rattan trays are great as a statement fruit bowl but also super cute as a wall feature too.
