Indoor plant food care with Yates
When it comes to feeding your indoor plants, not everyone is aware that plants not only need water for hydration, but also need food as well! When you first pot your new plants, you'll often use a fresh potting mix with includes nutrients formulated into the soil that act as 'food' for your plants. However soon enough, your indoor plants will use up all the nutrients in the soil and so if you don't otherwise replenish these nutrients, you're going to end up with a really sad (and starving) plant.

Feeding indoor plants can get a bit messy as previously, I'd use products that I'd have to dilute in large volumes. And if I'm going travelling, I'll instruct whoever's helping me look after my plants to water them according to a schedule, however I'll skip out on feeding my plants altogether as it's just too much trouble.
So today I wanted to share with you an exciting new product from the plant-loving team at Yates. They've just launched the new Yates Thrive Indoor Liquid Plant Food Drippers range designed for indoor plant lovers like you and me, making it so much easier than before to feed your indoor plants.
This new range features super convenient liquid plant food drippers made for feeding your indoor plants, with one designed especially for orchids, and the other for all your other indoor plants and ferns.
They're the perfect way to look after your plants and one less thing to think about when it comes to indoor plant care.
To use the dripper, first water your plant. Then, simply cut the end of the dripper off and push it into the potting mix of your plant - make sure to put it near the edge of the pot and not too close to the plant stem.
The drippers contain a specially formulated NPK (nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium) balance for indoor plants and can feed your plant for 4 weeks. Even if the dripper empties faster than 4 weeks, there's no need to replace it sooner as the plant will still have enough nutrients for the whole four weeks. Though if you have a really large pot such as one for a kentia palm or a bird of paradise, you may want to consider using two drippers placed on either side of the plant.
