Acre of Roses: Dreamy AirBnB in Trentham, Victoria

Is this not the most magical AirBnB you’ve ever seen? Tom and I were lucky enough to book in a stay at Acre of Roses over the new year. I’ve been wanting to visit for a while now and so when Tom’s annual leave came around I jumped at the chance to book a little getaway to ring in the new year! The Potting Shed at Acre of Roses is a whimsical and rustic little property surrounded by berries, an abundant veggie garden and nestled amongst the a micro flower farm.

It’s a really homely yet luxurious farm stay property and a peek at its beautiful interiors (styled by Belle Hemming Bright) make you want to just stay in for the entire time you’re there! Antique furniture and unique vintage finds decorate the space, with an old school bell sits at the top of the glass bell tower inside. An old genuine pot belly stove is fitted within the space and the bookshelves are spilling with gardening & floristry books.

Outside, a large kitchen garden is planted out with plenty of salads and veggies for guests to harvest and cook with. Around the corner you’ll also find an outdoor dining area. The property is fully enclosed with plenty of privacy and in summer, raspberry bushes climb up the fence filled with fresh berries. Included with your stay is every creature comfort you could ever think of, including a delicious breakfast spread filled with local produce and Acre of Roses’ very own rose water kefir made using rose petals from their farm.

It’s the perfect place to day dream and I’ve been totally raving it to all my friends since we got back.

And the best thing is? Dogs are welcome!!!

EAT:

In town you’ll find a number of local eateries including Trentham General which is great for breakfast and lunch! We also picked up takeaway from Dele FoodStore (there is newly opened store in Trentham) - they do gourmet takeaway meals which are perfect for enjoying back at The Potting Shed. The other place we wanted to check out in Trentham was Du Fermier however unfortunately they were booked out - guess it’s a reason to back again soon!
