One of the things I most enjoyed doing in London (aside from the Harry Potter Studio Tour - blog post coming soon!) was climbing the St Paul's Cathedral dome. St Paul's is an iconic part of the London cityscape and definitely lives up to expectations with it's beautifully elaborate interiors and sheer grandness. Photos are not allowed inside of the cathedral however there are plenty of opportunities available when you embark on the some 500 step journey up the dome. With St Paul's reaching over 100 meters high, it's a pretty big hike. Climbing up is one thing, but having enough energy and non-wobbly knees to get back down is really another! The views however, are astonishing and completely worth the effort. There are two outdoor galleries - the first gallery, 'the Stone Gallery' takes you about 50 meters above the ground where you can see impressive 360 degree views of London city. If you climb further, you reach the top of the dome and can see London from even greater heights! Tom & I took many photos from the top - I hope you all enjoy them and that they make you feel like you were there with us too! If you look closely, you can see the London Eye, River Thames, Big Ben and more. London is such an amazing, historically rich, fast paced city and one you must not miss if you're ever visiting Europe. I just can't wait to share more of my London travel snaps!
