When we first arrived, we were greeted by the very friendly manager by the name of Cedric who gave us a tour of the complex, introducing us to the history of the mansion and showing us the spa, pool, restaurant, cafe, garden and surrounds. We then checked into our rooms, dropped off our stuff and then started our getaway! We had a picnic lunch packed especially for us for each day we were there and decided to make the most of our time there by setting picnic camp up at the lake and grotto + rose garden. Both very scenic locations where we enjoyed the assorted yummy treats packed for our midday meals. The grotto was decorated with seashells, picked by the owners, from ground to ceiling! Tom & I spent the afternoon taking a few photos and exploring. Before we knew it it was evening. Over our dinner, we got to taste tested the white and red wines from the Shadowfax Winery next-door. We finished day 1 with a relaxing dip in the bubble pumping pool. Day 2 started off with a buffet breakfast at Joseph's followed by a massage @ the Spa & picnic at the State Rose Garden, before taking a bubble bath and heading back home. Thank you Mansion, for having us as guests at your hotel & spa! Here are a few photos of our time there & you can head to my Instagram account to see more.
