Whilst I am not a hit the gym seven days a week and low carbs high protein diet girl, I do happen to like exercise. On a crazy, impulsive day last year, my friend Jess and I decided we wanted to start doing something about sitting in our desk chairs glued to our laptops every day. Oh, uni life. Two days later, both of us had signed our lives away to a 6 month gym membership and over a year later, we're still going regularly. The rush of endorphins post class is the most beautiful feeling and keeping healthy whilst you're at it is even better. Our favourite group fitness classes are Body Balance, Body Attack, Zumba and pilates and going out with Runkeeper on a sunny day is always great as well. Though aside from regularly confessing my love for Les Mils' body balance soundtrack on Twitter (I could honestly listen to those songs for days) - Lana Del Rey's Young and Beautiful better be in the next mix - I think this must be the first time I've posted a sports inspired shoot for my blog.A couple of weeks ago, I was sent a pair of new adidas Energy Boost runners in 'blast purple' to try out. These very shoes won the Runner's World 2013 Best Debut award this year and are made of a special BOOST™ foam which provides the highest energy return in the running industry and is going to replace the soles of all adidas performance shoes in the next two years. Super comfortable and make you feel like you're bouncy on the moon the moment you put them on. I thought about incorporating them in a sports luxe fashion sort of way - given runners these days are so often incorporated into day to day outfits. Then I thought, why not just post about what health, wellbeing and what to wear whilst keeping fit? One of the best things about creating content for your own blog is being able to have personal control and freedom in your work and I'm so glad to be able to work with adidas to promote a healthy and active lifestyle. So here's a shout out to keeping healthy. It's so important for your body. So download a running app, get your runners and if the weather's good, go out for half an hour. Your soon-to-hit endorphin state of mind will thank you for it.
