One of the busiest towns on Lake Garda is this cheery place down on a little peninsula in the south. It took as a good hour via a speed ferry to get there from Garda town and by the time we arrived, we had to leave in a couple of hours to catch the last ferry back! However the place is bustling and definitely again, worth a stop over because first, it is home to some of the largest house hugging bougainvillaea plants I've ever seen (scroll below!) and second, it's just got an overall chilled and youthful vibe to it. Sirmione is also famous for its 13th century castle which you can climb up to see the town from above. Of course, my favourite thing to do here is to wander the streets with a gelato in hand, people watching and building admiring!k is for kani sirmione lake garda travel blog tips 3k is for kani sirmione lake garda travel blog tips 4k is for kani sirmione lake garda travel blog tips 5k is for kani sirmione lake garda travel blog tips 6k is for kani sirmione lake garda travel blog tips 7k is for kani sirmione lake garda travel blog tips 8k is for kani sirmione lake garda travel blog tips 9k is for kani sirmione lake garda travel blog tips 10k is for kani sirmione lake garda travel blog tips 11k is for kani sirmione lake garda travel blog tips 12k is for kani sirmione lake garda travel blog tips 13k is for kani sirmione lake garda travel blog tips 14k is for kani sirmione lake garda travel blog tips 16
