Munduk Moding Plantation - Bali, Indonesia
It’s always been my dream to visit Munduk Moding Plantation, after first seeing a picture of the infinity pool a few years ago. Munduk Moding Plantation is an eco-resort situated on a coffee plantation on the mountains in Munduk. Surrounded by coffee plantations and jungle, this boutique resort offers a tranquil escape nestled amongst nature and is a popular destination for couples and honeymooners!
We stayed one night at Munduk Moding Plantation in a villa without pool. I originally was hoping to stay two nights and in a villa with pool, however unfortunately when it came to booking, all those villas were booked out. If you’re visiting Munduk, I definitely still recommend two nights as I found that whilst one night in the area was only just enough time to see the main sightseeing spots, it was definitely not enough time to also fully the resort we booked and when you’re staying at a place like Munduk Moding Plantation, it’s definitely somewhere you will want to stay in at!
Our villa without pool was a spacious home-away-from-home. It had its own entrance and was surrounded by luscious jungle plants. There was a little deck outside with sun chairs and inside the room was large and as was the bathroom with two sinks, a vanity, free-standing bath tub and shower. Inside the villa, the staff had decorated every single flat surface they could find with fresh marigolds from the garden, a lovely sweet touch when we entered our room!
The resort here offers a daily schedule of rotating complimentary activities including shuttles to local tourist attractions, coffee plantation walks, coffee roasting, yoga class and more. Unfortunately we didn’t have time to try any of these but they all looked so fun!
Munduk Moding Plantation’s resort grounds are absolutely stunning! The most well known spot of course is the famous infinity pool that reflects the fiery sunset every night. Here, you can relax on the numerous beach chairs surrounding the pool, but did you also know that Munduk Moding Plantation actually has another infinity-esque pool right below this one? It’s positioned very strategically as you can’t see the pool unless you go over the edge and peer. There’s actually two infinity pools here to enjoy the view, as well a a beautiful jacuzzi as well.
We enjoyed breakfast and dinner at the resort and had some lovely fresh foods and produce - they have their own vegetable garden here and harvest daily to create their dishes! If I had the chance, I’d definitely go back to Munduk (& Munduk Moding Plantation) in a heartbeat.
